Photo Analysis

This photo was taken by Ed Collacott who specialises in landscape photography, and is taken in the Lake District. The main subject of this photo is colour and symmetry, the vibrant blue sky stand out in this and compliments the orange and browns in the landscape. The rolling hills also gives a large sense of depth as there are blurred sections in the distance and also the v-shaped valley gives a focus point and gives composition. Symmetry is also a large part in this and plays tricks with the eye as it almost looks like the lanscape carries on at the bottom of the picture but instead its the lake. The natural symmetry is pleasing to the eye and gives the picture balance. The mood of the photo is very happy with the bright colours  reflecting life and growth.
